Looking for a decent mid range charger.
 

Okay so I'm finally moving into the Lipo world with a buggy that I bought from a good friend of mine. I'll be running an identical setup that he was running, a Tekin RX8 1400 KV and a Hyperion 6s 2950MaH 30c Battery.

Eventually I'd love to get a Hyperion Duo3 but due to budget concerns I will be running a cheaper charger for now, that way I don't have to buy a power supply AND a charger. Problem is, I'm not sure which to get. I'd like one with AC capabilities and obviously a balance port, built in or otherwise. Any thoughts?

To charge that 6S lipo at 1C (2.95amps), it'll take 25.2v x 2.95a = 74.3watts. That places your reqmts above what a 50watt AC/DC charger can provide. The most a 50watt charger would charge at is ~2amps. 50watt charger would charge your 2950mah 6S, but it would take ~30% longer than a charger that could charge at a full 1C charge rate. Unfortunately, a 50watt AC/DC like the Thunder AC6 from Hobbypartz would be the cheapest option.

There are a few AC/DC chargers that have more than 50watts, but they're pretty expensive like the Dynamite Passport Ultra at ~$130 or the Triton2 EQ at ~$200, Thunderpower TP610AC/DC at $120 to name a few.
