I just bought a Spektrum H6040. It's identical to the 1258 Savox. Savox makes the servo, and Spektrum rebrands them(and sells them for cheaper than Savox, here in Germany anyway...)

Great throttle servo in 1/8... Probably even steering for some, with 13kg...

I just wanted to thank Joel at savox USA for his great knowledgeability and customer service... Joel you rock....

what servo to get (without breaking the bank)
 

ok so today's racing was a disaster for me, both cars had the same servo and both where drifting through their neutral ... ever tried driving a car that keeps turning left or right even after you have reset the steering ? well i can tell ya.. it aint fun.

so i did some checking on good but not bankbreaking servo's and this are a few possibilities:
Spektum 6070 (savox rebranded)
Savox 1251
Savox 1256
Savox 1257
Savox 1258
Futaba 9551

any opinions/suggestions, let me know if the next race is may 10th i need to get them orderd soon

I have sent in 2 Servos and after 3 mos & 2 attempts to get status from Savox I
have not heard a thing. Does anyone know who can help me?

Before I sent mine in I contacted their customer service through email. The next business day I got a response with the person who was going to handle my exchange. How are you trying to get the status?
