Telemetry on DX3R what is needed?

Intented to use the benefits from telemetry, what i need ( besides sensors) to have this benefit in my DX3R?

parts I know its needed:

Hand held unit
Sensors for car/engine
Lap count device...
but...
Can I use the dsm2 receiver?
what tx for the telemetry system is needed, since the regular rx donīt have this feature?
Thanks a lot.
Mario.

I don't think the telemetry works with the dx3r only the dx3s you might want to double check .

Your DSM2 reciever should still work, I believe the telemtry "kit" from spektrum will come with an additional "module" for all the telemetry stuff to plug into.

Correct, the telemetry kit was made to work with any radio since you attach a separate telemetry receiver on top of your transmitter.

telemtry roll input

Can someone tell me what the roll reading should be as I am having a hard time trying to inderstand Method B
circumference in inches = 7.693 (wheel diam is 2.44 inch or 62mm)
Spur 70 & Pin 37 = 1.89 ratio
Internal car ratio of 1.947
Fdr of 3.68

According to the manual I need to divide the circumference by the internal ratio. However it is somewhat confusing with the wording as at the start it requires either the intrnal ratio or to calculate the internal ratio (spur/pin)

So would this be 7.693/1.89=4.07 or 7.693/1.947 = 3.95

Can someone please pm or email me

Cheers

Per Spektrum: the SR3100 DSM2 receiver is not telemetry capable. This is in the radio manual (I have the DX3R Pro).

That's right. The only surface receiver that has the telemetry built in is the SR3300T which is a DSM1 receiver.

Spektrum did make a telemetry kit but I don't think they are making one anymore.

Seems like if you are dead set to get telemetry you need to get either the DX3S radio system or get a DX3R Pro with a SR3300T receiver and all the sensors.
