Tekin rs vs. pro

Can any of you experienced guys give me an idea how the tekin rs compares to the pro version. I'm wondering if I'd see any difference in racing applications (from dirt oval to stadium truck racing) with motors from about 13.5-21.5. I know the pro is rated for motors of any turn whereas the rs is like 5 turns. But would the pro have a noticable advantage based on these motors under high performance applications? I've heard a couple theories,but want to see what others have seen from experience.

No performance difference, basically the Pro has the ability to run lower turn motors, but no other performance gains. I have noticed that it is more capable of dealing with heat than the RS, which makes it a good choice for 4wd , or heavier vehicles, or ones that have problems with airflow..If you only have/need one ESC, and ever think of getting a 4WD, then go with the Pro, otherwise the RS will work for nearly anything else.

no difference in performance. I run an RS and a Pro in different cars... feels the same. The RS Pro is made to handle 4wd and TC where you are running super low wind motors.

Thanks guys,that pretty much confirms what I've heard.

I sold my pros to go to rs. The rs is smaller. Fits under my xxxcr body better and looks cleaner.

and it's slightly lighter as well which serves as a trade off for lower turn motors.
RS=lighter (not much)
Pro= handles lower turn motors

I wish I would have read this thread before I bought anohter RS. I was planning on putting it in a B44 that was given to me and now realize the RS may not be best suited for it if I run a lot of timing. I'm going to be running it with a 13.5. I'm new to this and hope I didn't just waste my money.

Tekins are pretty easy to resale especially if you didn't open the box...

In regard to the original question on this post the rs is smaller and lighter than the pro but can't handle the lower turn motors you might use on-road...if you're racing stock the rs is your best bet...:nod:
