Muchmore Cell Master Legend Feedback

Just wondered if anyone who's running these can feedback on what they are like? I know there's a thread in electric on road which doesn't seem too complimentary, but wondered if anyone else was using it, and how good it is, specifically around voltage accuracy and not charging over 8.4v on standard mode?

I looked at both the cell master legend and the lrp touch. Went with the legend, really impressed with it so far, also matched my power supply and tyre warmers. I have heard of some going bang early on, but they have been replaced no questions asked, plus muchmore UK are very helpful.

Haven't checked the voltage accuracy yet, not going to be using my batteries till Tuesday, will check the voltage then when I charge them up.

My charger burned up today after abt a year using it. Wonder why it goes up it smoke the tell tale sign are it will not read lipo cell accurately then when you retry it again and agin it just goes puff.

The power supply unit is stable and the other unit bought same time is still ok.

Cheers, let me know how you find the voltage accuracy when you've used it!

Any word on how it went on Tuesday Chris?

Muchmore Legend & Power Supply

I was actually considering buying the whole enchilada with the dual Legend chargers & power supply/docking station setup.

If anyone has this setup, I would really like some "real world" feedback... It has a hefty price tag, but if it does what it says, I have no problem spending the money. I am over the generic lipo chargers that are not accurate and all use the same interface.

Any input/feedback is greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Forgot my multimeter. I'll charge a battery up tomorrow and will let you know.

Results are in

Battery is an LRP 5600Mah 50C 2S pack.

Battery was first charged using the 'storage' setting.

Standard charge
Legend: 8.353v
Multimeter: 8.35

Pretty happy with that, nice safe voltage, not like some of the cheap chargers which are all over the place.

There is a 'Race' charging function to get closer to the 8.44v BRCA limit.

Race +1
Legend: 8.381
Multimeter: 8.37

Race +2
Legend: 8.441
Multimeter: 8.43

I looked at the dual chargers, was very tempted, but having two batteries I can manage with just one charger. I suppose if you raced two classes it would make sense, or you split the cost of the charger between two people, as a 44a power supply will cover 2 of everything!

The legend is a doddle to use, never bothered reading the manual.

Plus, the muchmore stuff looks way better than the LRP stuff and you can have all matching stuff.

Cheers for all the info Chris! Just to check, one of the charge settings will stop at 8.40 won't it? In 10th offroad there's no tolerance allowed!! Would that be normal or storage charge to do that?

I'd use Race +1 then, gives .02v margin of error. Plus I'd be wary of how accurate some multimeters are, I used a recently calibrated fluke meter. Worth checking yourself.
I also only checked on one battery pack, others could be different.

Thanks for the input. I have 3 cars/6 lipo packs that I race on any given weekend and currently use the BMAX I-6 Charger. I can charge up to 4 (2s)lipos at 5a each using my 24a CE power supply. The problem I have with it is I know they are not being charged correctly and to 4.2v/cell. I too have a meter and I am lucky is I get the charger to power the lipo to 4.17v/cell. I have never used the charger to juice 4 lipos at once, but the cost ($135) was in the ballpark (at the time).

40th birthday is coming up and I think I am going to invest in it.
