m11 vs DX3R
which one better and faster ?
|
I have a DX3R so I say that one.

If you drop both of them from a tall building at the same time I'll bet they hit the ground at the same time. Jk
 They're very close probably within a millisecond or so. Not enough that 99.99% of people would notice in a blind test. |

If the M11 is heavier, wouldn't it hit the ground first?
It really comes down to personal preference. The m11 has a bit more features, but I don't find them useful. I think they are more designed for nitro and brake mixing. So as long as you are not doing any of that, call their features just about equal. On paper, the DX3R has a better frame rate. But I doubt you could tell the difference. To me there are two things that DX3R has over any other "top of the line radio." 1. It's light and compact. It really is comfortable in my hand. Absolutely 0 strain or discomfort during the race. You forget that you are even holding it. 2. Receiver availability. They are plenty of them and they are cheap. You can use any spektrum RX. There are tons of different models for minor different reason. There is also tons in the classifieds if you are looking for a deal. You really have to take this into consideration if you have a budget and have several cars. The only slight edge I'd give to the M11 is that it takes modules. You are now able to use FM, Airtronics 2.4, and Spektrum 2.4. Now you have even more RX's to choose from. But imo with spektrum being as cheap as it is, it's not that much of an advantage. |
I just got a DX3R I was messing with it today a bit and it is a lot more user friendly than my M11 . I have a M11 fhss and if the M11x is the same as far as adjustments it's kind of a pain to operate . The DX3R seems much more easy to navigate . I haven't had a chance to use it on the track yet , but I have used my friends and I liked it a lot .

I was joking about how fast they would be if dropped. Discounting any air resistance all falling bodies are subject to the same acceleration, gravity, therefore both hit the ground in exactly the same time. Basic high school physics.
I recently started using a DX3R for the lightweight, I have arthritis and my Futaba 3PKS was feeling very heavy for any Mains beyond 5 minutes. My hand would go numb. Now I can manage a 20 minute Main with the DX3R. Sure it doesn't have all the features of the M11 or 3PKS/4PKS but it fills my needs. I do wish it had backlighting and a visible on indicator. Also A Main is discounting them at $249.99. I think the DX3R Pro is going to be making its retail debut. That will have a drop down wheel, back light and some programming enhancements over the DX3R. |
