I have a thunder power 3s hard case and the 2 cells balance at 4.20 and the off cell only stays at roughly 3.8 is this repairable discharging and charging or is the battery now garbage? i got it from a member and have only used it twice now. any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Your charger/balancer is not able to bring it back in line?


If its fairly new and you can charge just that cell, it would bring it closer to the others. If its an older lipo with some cycles on it, it may just be a weak cell and it won't get much better.

i have a basic charger in the imax 6 im not sure it can just charge the one cell??
the pack is the newer one that has the flat black case. 50/100 C

Is the charger timing out on you while trying to balance out this diff? Balance spec is <10mv so it should be getting closer than 3.8 to 4.2v, that's 400mv.

I'm trying to understand why the chargers not doing a better job.

You'd have to rig up something sepcial to charge just one cell and its prob not worth all that it would require.

Balance the pack and test.
