Mamba Max problem

i tried updating it but somehow the update went wrong. I was updating to 1.29 from the stock(whatever version it was,i got it ytd). It got stuck on waiting for device then it shows update failed. Then the link only reads my setting. Now only the servo works. Do I have to send it back or can this be fixed via software?
I've also sent the same question to CC support but i feel that since there are other MM owners here so I might as well ask
Thanks

I assume you were updating via the MM's USB port? If so, you can use the Castle link and its supposed to still work.

I tried it with the field link
the pc didnt recgonize it. Green light blinks on the card and same goes for esc(LEDs blinking)

That's supposed to be the fall back for a MM update failure. There's supposed to be a wire from the 3 pin pcb that goes to the esc rather than the usb port.

Thats what I mean by the Castle link. You remove esc wire from the rcvr and the wire from the end of the 3 pin pcb connects to the rcvr instead.

i know but i dont have the 3 pin pcb
Go to their website, what i have is the field link
i figured it has the same function anyway and there is already a usb port on the mamba max

SO you update failed thru the Link? I guess I misunderstood your 1st post. This is the link I'm talking about - the 3 pin link is what comes with the MMM -

its ok
i know the link you're talking about, and no it didn't come with the mamba max esc package
I updated via the usb cable connected to the esc's usb port

This is from Castle's Forum on RCM - its the same prob you're having and they were told by Castle to update via the type link pictured in the Tower H link I posted that goes thru the rcvr -

If you don't have one, you'll need to get one or borrow one. The only other thing to do is call them. Whenever I have a prob, I always call.

I've picked up a castle link on ebay for $10, so that might be your easiest option.

You do not need a castle link

If you have trouble connecting straight from the usb, the feld link does the job as the castle link, connects between the usb cable and esc

Cheers
