Transponder ?
 

Im a long time basher and first time racer. My question is the MYLAPS RC4 Hybrid transponder the same as the AMBrc transponder ? :confused:

AMB-it is now MyLaps. MyLaps renamed the AMB DP (personal transponder), and called it an RC2... So you will see some MyLaps transponders that look like the AMB... with a MyLaps label.... These are no longer made.

The RC4 is the latest transponder. Its smaller, has removable tabs,.. and a few other fetchers that will only work with the RC4 decoder... (this isn't out yet).... Its also backwards compatible with the AMBrc & AMBrc3 decoder.

So will this RC4 work with what's out there now ? :confused: You lost me with "backwards". Thanks for your input.

Backwards = it will work with the older equipment.

If the track you want to run at has an AMBrc or AMBrc3 decoder (one that will accept personals) the following transponders will work... (to just count laps)

AMB DP
MyLaps RC2
MyLaps RC4
MRT iPT
MRT PTX
