Servo recommendations for Race Buggy
Guys, I am in the market for new servos. I was running XP1015 for both throttle and steering. I would like to run the servos on lipo unregulated. I would like to hear from guys running unregulated servos on lipos too. What do you run and how long have you been running your servos? Have you had any warranty work and was it a good customer experience? I want strong and fast servos. I was looking at the JR 9100s HV but that price tag is hard to swallow, although not out of the question. Just looking for less expensive alternatives. Oh, and I want to run the same servo on both positions.
I am curious about the Savox. Anyone want to chime on those? Thanks. |

Savox is going to be your only choice for less expensive on lipo's, and the better savox HV servos are not available in the states yet. Hitec and KO are what I see alot of people running but for the HV (hitec 7940, 7950 & KO rsX seriers) they are around $130 or more each.
Edit: I didn't think about the 7955, it is priced lower than the others. |

I would highly recommend also Savox servos, you will first notice how light they are must be the titanium gears! a good servo for performance, value and reliability..
Many have been using and ordered these Savox servos with great results. We love 'em! Don't mistake them for a budget servo just because of their relatively the cost, they are tip top in every way. These come highly recommended! Available from all good model shops. Thanks guys, I really appreciate the info. This is helping me narrow down my choice. You can't go wrong with Hi Tec and Futaba and now it seems like Savox is a promising alternative. Heck, my local hobby shops are out of stock of the Savox.
Well, I will have my mind made up in a day or so. Again thanks! |
I have a savox in the mail for my b44 :)

With a little luck, I will have a couple by the weekend.
