Tekin RS ESC HELP!!!!!!

Ok so I got a new Teking RS, got it hooked up at LHS. They helped me put it in and program it for me. I also purchase a Hotwire to program it myself at home. I get the car home and it runs wonderfully. While the batteries are recharging I decide to install the Hotwire to my laptop. Install goes great, download the newest version (V212) so far so good. Now I go ahead and connect the Hotwire to my ESC and it now needs to download the new version (V212) which defaults the whole thing and removes the programming my LHS just did for me. Now the ESC seems to not give any power to the motor. There are lights coming on when I squeeze the throttle but the motor doesn't move. Please help.

I have the Tekin RS ESC

When you load the new 212 it defaults the whole thing and removes the programming like you said. But you also have to re calibrate your radio to your RS speed control. Get out your instruction manual for the RS and go to Radio calibration and go thru the 5 step radio setup. Hope this helps. Let us know if that worked.

I just tried with a recalibration and no go. I have also knowticed that no audible tone is present when I turn on the power to the ESC. There was a tone present when my LHS programmed it and agin the tone was present when I ran it at home. Is this a clue on what could be occuring?

Which lights are flashing? Do you have the correct motor type chosen? The manual has very good details about error codes from your esc.

Lights

Which lights are blinking? If it's the first two and the last two the esc is fried. What type of connectors on the esc and battery, any chance of connecting the battery backwards.

If you updated to 212 there are ?'s to be answered:

1s or 2s?

Did you alter the default settings?

And... if you have it in brushed mode instead of brushless....

What radio are you using?
