That is one of my task... To make sure the 550's fit in the SC10. I have not had a chance to start the build, I am supposed to today. I will let everyone know the outcome. Pretty sure the 550 I have will be the same as the production models.

What truck were you running, and what'd you have in it?

BTW, I used to live in Modesto, and later Denair, and finally Lodi, before moving out of the Central Valley

No SH!T!!! I haven't been there (Denair) for probably 15 or 20 years, but small world, eh?

At least you have a track(s?) in the area now. IIRC there was one for a SHORT time while I still lived up there (I'm in San Diego now), but otherwise there was NOTHING....

we actually have a few tracks in the area of about 1 hour's drive

Nor-cal in union city
Delta in antioc
River front- other side of sac (takes a little over 1 hour and 30 mins to get there or so)
Modesto RC raceway (10 mins from my home)
Central Valley rc in Medera just north of fresno
and of course if you want to drive we can go to reno just 3-4 hours away and hit up 3-4 tracks
and then bakersfeild is only 3-3.5 hours.

and amain hobbies is like 2 hours away.

well,my viper 17.5 puked this weekend at a MORL event during first day of practice,1:45 in running fine and it just stoped. was set-up as stock spec with a 21/78 with temps at 98 degs, its had 4wks of indoor and this was the first time out on dirt with it.talked to few guys about, and they all but one have had problems with them and said they are junk and would never buy another one! put my novak back in,and ended up 4th fastest after 2nd round, then got rained out!....what should i do with this paper weight now? do i send it to factory or take it to my LHS for warrenty, much rather get my money back and move on.

What was different from the 4wks of running you had with it before??

Same set up? Same gearing? Anything big tumbles (sensor wire or board issue possible)? Any warning the last time you used it indoors?

My SX10 SC developed a little stutter after a big shunt over the weekend. It felt like cogging - turns out, the sensor wire was a little loose - not pulled out, but loose enough for it to not run right.

Let us know, you can always contact Warranty Support by filling out an RMA here: http://www.globalownage.com/viper/contact.php

Or calling 1-866-206-8558, 9am to 5pm PST.

This past winter at the 1st Annual Indoor Nationals and Points Series @ " THE BARNYARD", was a good showing for Viper RC running the 6.5VST motor.. Still in the process of receiving my VTX esc's and 550 motor...I managed to get a 1st place in the 4wd SCT Amain at the Indoor Nationals, and ended up 3rd in the points series missing 2 rounds..
Action photo is at the Canadian Indoor Offroad Champioships, unfortunatly ended up with a DNF but took the TQ spot.. Thanks goes out to Team NUO Racing for the action shot... Sorry the 1st two pics are with my Blackberry..

You must be in a stock profile. You need to change the profile you are working in. Profiles 3, 4 or 7 will allow you to access those settings.

If you need to contact us regarding warranty items please go to this page http://viper-rc.com/contact.php and complete the RMA form. You'll need to send it back to this address:

Viper R/C Solutions, Inc.
Attn: Warranty Services
2687 151st PL NE
Redmond, WA 98052

Don't forget to include a note describing the problem and a copy of your original receipt. It sounds like you have a sensor board problem. Assuming you used the same sensor wire when changing to your other motor, it's likely the sensor board and not the sensor wire.

If you want to play with esc timing you must go to Misc Control>Run Mode>Race Modified. Or use one of the pre-set profiles that already have Race Modified mode already selected as Nick listed above.
