first of all. It is installed in an xb4. You have a little bar where the wires go under from escto motor. But with the cables under that and the esc taped on the chassis, The wires and poles are stressed. I don't know if the poles could damaged bend or ruined because of this?

My second thinking about it. The poles are very close to each other. When they're stressed they maybe bend a bit and touch each other? Now it is good and works. But i don't know if when landing a high jump they maybe get a shock and touches each other? Is that possible?

Really wan't to make sure. Because my previous lasted for 3 laps and broke...

Thanks so much !
Hello,
Maybe add some heat shrink to the battery terminal poles. As for the stress maybe try soldering them so they exit at an angle and not straight up?

I soldered them in 90 degrees angle, and putted heat shrink around every wire, also at the esc, but could they move a bit from a little shock, or a hard shock? Could they maaaybe touch?

I don't race offroad, but on my touring car I've hit the fence pretty hard and haven't had a problem yet. Maybe add some zipties on the wires near the poles to space them out?

Hi

I'm using a Copperhead ESC with a HW 4000kv 4 pole. I've measured with my GPS that there is no increase in speed when the timing on the ESC is increased. Are there compatibility issues between the Copperhead ESC, and HW motors? Every other programable item is able to be changed, except timing. I use the viper programming card to change all my parameters.

I saw Chris Blakley's blog about WGT 10.5 boosted setups. The info was from a year ago or so for the VTX1 and he was using a rollout of 56mm. Is that still valid?

Yes, since then we have even updated our software (to a64) with one of the primary goals being better operation in boosted format for more efficient operation and less heat build up. But the idea of the settings, etc. is good.

There isn't any know issues - maybe its just as fast as the motor will go?? If you lower it, does it slow down? Also, I have been told by some people that some GPS systems are not super accurate, so small change might now show up.

When do you anticipate the ROAR approval going through for this firmware version? The current ROAR list indicates A55 is the latest approved version.

Thank you.

I don't want to sound bad in any way -- but we aren't 100% sure its worth the over $1000 price tag it would cost to submit it. Nothing changed on the blinky side of the software from a55 to a64. We don't know the last time that a speed software was checked at an event. Other than to verify blinking light. Not to say we are trying to skirt the rules in any way. Which we are not. But its an awful lot of money to spend to "say" its legal. We'd rather spend the same amount and send more race prizes to tracks holding events.

Viper is one of the few RC companies that support events with great prizes and the racer with simply awesome customer support. I can't argue with Nicks reasons, for not worrying about summiting it to ROAR.

Just to present a different side of the story. The BRCA asked us to confirm that the latest version was made under established rules, had us agree that we understood sanctions were possible if it was tested otherwise. We agreed, it was updated on their site over a weekend and published.

Thank you for clarifying. I was considering traveling to events that uses ROAR approvals and did not want to run into issues if teched (or challenged).
