Speed control wire connection question
Is there any disadvantage on installing a set of connectors in the ESC motor wires to allow for quick engine changes. I just thought it would be easier to use a low loss power connector from like novak to remove my motor. I run Novak Havoc Pro and GTB with Novak motors. I race T4 and SC10 with 2s lipos. Is there any draw backs doing this or just stick with soldering the motor everytime?

Biggest drawback is that they may come apart in a crash, other than that it shouldn't cause any problems and is much easiler than hard wiring.

AreCee; That is more like an advantage, it is easier to just reconnect them than to start resoldering:)

I use the gold plated bullet connectors.:nod:Makes things so much easier. And their is no resistence problems cause they are gold plated.

you just gotta be careful as to not plug them in backwards.

Thanks everyone. I am new to the electric side of the hobby. I didn't think there would be an issue since the traxxas and castle kits already have connectors built in. I bought some 4mm castle connectors from the lhs.
