m11 or m11x
 

Hey everyone I am in the market for a new radio. I want to hear from people who have upgraded from m11 to m11x and if they feel it is worth 125 dollars more.

The M11x is supposed to be faster than the M11. If you can tell the difference in speed your better than I. I had a M8. It took a dump after 12 years. Bought the Airtronics sport " hated the way it felt in my hand". Just bought a M11 used now it seems im back to my old self. But the 2.4 system on it is old and not holding a bind. I think its got a bad module.

To answer your question M11. Ill never use all the bells and whistles on it and for 130 less than the M11x thats what I would choose.

M11, and get Spektrum for it instead of the FHSS crap... recievers are a LOT cheaper....

i noticed in your signature that you use a dx3r spektrum radio.why do you say it is crap ? do you have the m11 and the m11x ? i ask because i just ordered the m11x last week. i have spent a lot of time researching this investment and that is the 1st negative comment i have seen regarding the new m11x. (except that some think it is ugly )isn't the m11 with a spektrum module fhss(2) the m11x is fhss3 capable of a latency of 2.5 milliseconds. also the m11x is a lot lighter and carries a better balance than the m11.

the m11x is crap because you cant replace the module super easy. unlike with the m11 you can put your own module in it and take it out when ever you want and its super easy

why do you need to remove the module?

I am curious, why would anyone wants to replace the module on the M11x anyway?

that is one of the things i liked about the radio. i can see me very easily breaking the ant. off of the module. that was one reason i did not choose the ko eurus. i also race frequently at night,and i don't see at night like i once did, so the screen was a huge plus for me. i really don't understand how not being able to move a module makes a radio "crap". more so a feature you don't like. so what kind of radio do you use ?

I am not talking about hte M11X... i am talking about hte M11 FHSS... get the bone stock M11 and add spektrum to it. cheaper than the M11X, and cheaper RX's...

Never said the M11X was crap... its a B.A. radio... if you dont mind spending $120+ on more recievers.

You dont need to run the fhss-3 receivers with the m11x. The transmitter is also backwards compatible with fhss-2 receivers that can be easily found for $60. You can also find fhss-3 receivers overseas for $80. With a lipo the m11x is a lot lighter than an M11, and I think its worth the extra cost.
