The pic from the OP is Drake with a DX3R with a custom made drop-down wheel that is NOT made by spektrum. The pic of Truhe's spektrum in the DX3R Pro.

Drake told me that the dropdown adapter for the dx3r is in the VERY Near future.

So is the pro model a whole new radio? Any other features than just the drop down? Can you get the drop down for you're existing dx3r?

It will be basically the same as the DX3R but with the drop down wheel, backlit screen, different screen view and some other functional upgrades. The last I heard from the guys at Horizon is to expect it sometime around the end of the year.

And if you guys look closely you will see a sd card symbol on the left side of the screen,maybe this one can run on a small single cell lipo to make it even lighter.

It'd be pretty sweet if they would come out with a software kind of like castle link where you can go in and set up your throttle profiles and different settings for each model then just upload it to the radio via sd or do software updates the same way. Same radio just newer software each time.

Yeah, Nomadio did this with their Sensor and React and I am surprised no one else has followed suit. I like being able to point and click to tweak my settings, instead of trying to navigate through all the menus with the buttons on the radio.

holy jeez! i gotta have this thing, i was getting tired of not having a backlit on my DX3R...was gonna buy the M11X but i guess i'll just wait for this little puppy....can't wait!! XD

I seen alot of dx3r with drop wheels at jbrl saturday and sunday for the finals. Correct me if im wrong but isnt the dx3r already out?
