Help with a Futaba 3pks

Hey guys,

I picked up a used 3pks with a PK-FSM2.4G module installed.

The guy I bought it from was able to get it to bind to me Fasst receiver, but I was busy doing something else and was not able to watch him.

Later in the day, the battery in the Tx died and I had to charge it. While I was charging it, it lost it's bind.

Now, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get it to bind again.

I have ready over the manuals for the 3pks and the PK-FSM2.4G and I have followed all of the instructions, but I can't figure it out.

On the screen, it shows that the Tx is in 'DISP' mode, which the manual said means that it's not sending signal. I can't figure out how to get it out of this mode.

Can anyone help? It's not binding.

mmm the 3pk has two switches. One on the left side of the screen which only turns on the screen. To turn on the radio part hit the switch on the right side of the wheel.

To bind:

" to bind, turn on your TX (transmitter) and then your RX (reciever) the reciever will light up RED, next to the RED light there will be a little button. with the TX close to the RX hold down the button untill the light turns GREEN, once the light is GREEN the programing if complete.

to set the failsafe PERMANETLY you must be running in HRS mode which requires the use of digital servos (stock servos are analog)

If your running in PPM mode you will have to manually set the failsafe evertime by holding down the F/S button located on the back of the TX. to set, turn on your TX and RX, apply the brakes then press the F/S button, release and then shut off your TX. when you shut off your TX your brakes should still be applied letting you know the failsafe is working. then turn on your TX and your ready to run with your failsafe enabled."

I tried this way to bind, and it just keeps blinking at me. After about 5 cycles of blinking, then going solid as I continuously hold down the bind button, it keeps just cycling at me.

There are no lights on the module in the Tx, but reading through other forums, it seems that the little LED on the module will only come on when it's correctly bound.

Hey averagejoe's.

Are you the RC track just off the 401 near the pirate ship?

I recently bought a fasst module and receiver for my 3pk used so it came without instructions. the way I bind the receiver to the module is I first press the bind on the tx. the led will begin to flash. i then press and hold the bind on the rx. the led on the rx will flash for a while then turn solid. at this point let the bind button go...it is basically bound to the tx, but the tx fasst module led will still be flashing. I just turn the tx off then back on for the led to go solid and everything works as it should. worked for the 9 other 603fs i then bought afterwards for the rest of my rc arsenal.

If you mean the pirate ship near the QEW, then yes. That's me.

I think that's maybe the problem. I'm not getting a light on the Tx module. I don't recall one coming on before either.

yeah, that's what i meant, qew.. I pass your track everytime I go to school @ niagara college in welland.

your module must be faulty then, as the led on the module should always be on solid, regardless if there's a receiver on or not.
