reverse polarity

i plugged my esc in the wrong way round switch was off a little smoke came out of the power cap plugged it in the right way round turned it on all works fine is this ok or should i change cap

I'd change the cap, the smoke says you damaged it, no sense in taking chances.

yeah i know brand new speedo never used before thanks for advise
