Steering Servo Replacement
 

Steering servo just died on my inferno. Any suggestions for a good high torque metal gear servo at a reasonable price ~$40-80

take a look at savox at amain.

wow, those are nice, the standard high torque metal gear one has 277oz torque! thats insane. i have to get one now. i saw the spektrum metal gear high torque one for $44 bucks...150oz torque...is it worth it to get the savox over the spektrum?

1/8 scale steering requires at least 200 oz. in buggy and at least 250oz. in truggy in my opinion. You gotta think that a 6-10 pound car moving at 20 to 40 mph will need a decent amount of torque to hold the line while racing. At least that's how I see it.

Works great, no problems yet. It's a rebadged hitech, I think 5955.

If either of my hobbico ones die, that is probably the next one I will try.

Not to disagree with anyone because I definitely have not been doing this long enough to have a good opinion, but if your going to spend $80 + shipping on a sav... why not just get a 7954 for $85shipped off ebay.

what's the minimum for MTs? would the futaba bls-351 be enough?
