Steering Servo Question

Using the Hi-Tec HS7955TG for steering servo but without using a servo saver. Everytime I bump the front tires just a little, the steering gets out of alighnment. I then tried using a servo saver but still getting out of alignment. This is the first expensive servo I have ever used and hoping I didnt already ruin it by not using servo saver! Any advice or comments welcome. Thx.

Good day!

What are you using it in? Some cars hav a built in servo saver and if it is too loose it will not center.

Losi 8ight-E, and after checking the owners manual.. it does have a servo saver, but it all seems to be tight. If I hold the servo horn and push on the wheels, the saver seems fine.
The servo was purchased new and only used 5-6 runs before started noticing problems.

Found the problem to be a plastic insert inside the servo horn to fit on the metal servo gear was stripped out. What a relief. ;)

Invest in a aluminum horn, They are worth the few bucks

Ran in to this problem after changing a server as well. Found the 'reuse' of the horn was my issue. Turns out I needed to change the horn to the right manufacturer. My kit had other horns with letters branded to them. There was a 'H' for Hitec, etc. I ended up just replacing the original plastic horn with a metal version. Problem solved!
