Questions?? ???Novak Havoc 2s???

Are these any good for running offroad or are they just a buget esc. Iv'e always used LRP esc but had one throwen to me for $40 and was wondering if it's worth it?

These Havocs (1S, 2S and 3S) are Novak's affordable, non timing---under 100.00 (new) escs. Here is our spec chart; you can see that the Havoc 2S (8.5 turn limit) has on-resistance of 0.00120 ohms. Our GTBs (3.5 turn limit) are 0.00040 ohms---much lower. This criteria is based on the MOSFETs and is the real factor separating a "racing", high performance esc and a "sport" controller.

TeamNovak ESC Spec Chart

Also, the higher your motor wind---21.5, 25.5---the less of a performance difference you will notice.

It's for a 17.5 buggy class. We run a class that has NO boost/turbo or timing advance allowed. Im just checking to see if it's worth getting or spend another $30 and get an LRP TC (used).

Your call, the LRP is probly a higher end esc but for you it's also another 30 bucks. The Havoc is a pretty basic entry level BL esc but it does the job, I don't know the specs on the LRP......
