4pk or Eurus

Can someone give me the pros and cons of these radios? I use the 3pk now so I'm familiar with futaba but the darn thing is just like a brick. I have 4 fasst recievers now so the 4pk would be easier but I can't use a Life battery with the recievers, they overheat and shutdown. So someone help me decide.

I use a life battery in my buggy just fine. I'm using a R604FS and it has no overheating problems. I like my 4PK it feels light to me, don't now how much lighter it is compared to a 3PK.

Life's are 6.6v and are no where near what lipo's put out as far as voltage....so you have other issues if your stuff is shutting down when using a LIFE pack.

Thats weird, it only does it with the Life battery and not with the nimh.

Great so they can charge more for an already ridiculously expensive radio?

The radios are about the same price but you also get a rechargable battery and charger with the 4pk

I have both radios and loved the 4pk, I got the euros and I am really starting to like the euros the rx's will take straight lipo and they are small, the wheel will angle out more than the 4pk, the trigger on the euros is great you can change the angle of it and move it in and out to fit you're finger the ONLY bad thing about the euros is nobody makes a hard case for it so you have to alter one made for a different radio or just use the speedmind soft case.

I just got the 4pks and the thing is sick. The receiver is tiny compared to the 603fs. I have been using life batteries on my buggy with the 603fs and dont have any issues. Try putting heat reflection tape on the outside of the radio box facing the engine and it should help the issue. Also as far as pricing I got the 4pks for $430 cash from my local hobby shop. But I also spent about 3 grand in there over the last 8 months

I'd recommend picking up a Vanguard VGP-13S (photography) hard case. It's better quality than the Futaba, bigger, and you can customize the foam for any radio with plenty of room left over to store lipos, tools, or whatever else you want to protect.

You can get them on Amazon, Buy.com, or a ton of other places for around $50.

well its Faster, comes with smaller lipo compatible Rx, has a 4WS logo, the Jog button has been replaced with a better one, the lights behind the jog button's are now red, and its got some refined menu's to improve the navigation of the menu's....I think that's it.
