Tekin Hotwire question

I just want to make sure before I do this.

Can I use a splitter on the ESC wire to the receiver to connect my hotwire module?

I don't want to constantly plug and unplug my esc wire from my receiver. I'm assuming this is not an issue, but I wanted to make sure it wouldn't eff up my receiver.

Good day!

You can use an extention wire then one end of the extention would stay in the rx. You can not use a Y harness.

Can you please elaborate on the extension wire -vs- y-harness?

I was thinking they are the same thing.

With a Y-splitter, your ESC, receiver and steering servo will be hooked up to the Hot Wire. You only want the ESC and Hot Wire connected for programming.

But if the vehicle is turned off (or battery disconnected) would it matter?

Not trying to be difficult, just trying to get an understanding.

The Hot Wire is going also to be connected to receiver and servo via the Y splitter. You're programming the ESC, not the receiver or servo(s) also connected to the receiver.

Okay, I get ya.

Thanks for the help.
