Have 2 slashs with new VXL bl motors in them. What is a good esc for racing that is faster reacting than traxxas esc for tight track and dependable?

The original Mamba Max is still very popular with the VXL motor. Not only does it offer improved reliability, it also can be tuned to your liking with several adjustable settings. These can be found now for alot less money.

I also really enjoy my Hobbywing products. The ESCs are very reliable and offer several tuning options as well. Check out the EZRun 60A at Hobbypartz.com

Faster reaction time is probably due to the high latency time of the stock radio system not the speed control...

Been satisfied with the MM In my Slash, its run a 5700, MR 3650 Medusa and now a 3500 Velineon all on 2S and 3S. MM has been more than warm only a few times, plenty of flexibility, would be a good choice.

Thanks for replies so far.
Hobbyparts are cheap. maybe get 1 to try then a few more for my other trucks if they work out. looks like they have the basic features I will need. I run a very tight track so I dont think I'll need much timing, wanna keep it cool for the 8 min. runs. Mostly for drag brake and throttle curves.
