tekin rs pro getting hot

I have a brand new tekin rs pro just put in my 4x4 slas with a new novak 4.5 It is set on fw only and motor is 120 and the esc is getting hot what can I do?

I edited my post but the Tekin RS is only rated to a 5.0 motor but the pro says unlimited. I still wonder if is too much motor for it. expecialy that its getting hot I would look into it before you take a chance of burning it up here is the link tro Tekin

How hot is the esc getting because 120 on the motor is fairly cool.

Is it thermaling? If not, how many lights (temp indicator) are on the speedo when you're done running? What kind of batteries are you using?

I'd be thinking that a 4.5 is too much motor for the RS-Pro in an off road truck (yes, I know that have no limit, but thats for on-road), but why not check on the Tekin forums?

I run the RS Pro with 4.5HV in my Jammin SCRT10. It would get warm(145-160) on really hot days so I installed a fan. Problem solved now it never gets over 110 degrees.

Good day!

Do you have any shrink tubing on the posts? If so, take it off. The posts are also the heat sinks for the esc. Are you running 208 and if so have you turned the current limmiting down to 80? You will not notice any performance difference but it will run cooler.

good deal
