Default False thermal on Novak Pro ESC

I am running a Novak Pro ESC and Ballistic motor in my 4x4.

I had two instances with thermal shutdown last night. Motor temp was 144 degrees and ESC was 109 the 1st time, then 142 and 116 the 2nd.

Are false thermals common with this ESC and what can I do to correct the issue? I'm assuming this was a false thermal.

Thanks

NovakTwo

I contacted Novak at [email protected] like you asked.

I was told I can send the ESC in for a software update, however I have some questions.

How does Novak know what software version I already have? I live in Wisconsin and really don't want to ship out and wait only to have Novak call me and say the ESC is already at the latest version. Is there a way for me to verify existing version?

Also, the warranty form I was told to fill out doesn't have anything listed on it regarding a "no charge" software update. Do I just document that in the space open under step 3 (Product & usage Information)?
