Hitech screws
 

Does anyone have a replacement hex head screw for the Hitch servos for the servo horn. Their philips head screws are just really weak and I would like a Hex head alternative. What size and where to buy with maybe a linky dink would be great if you can oblige.

Jaz, they are 2.6mm. I tried searching on the 4C site, but can't find any.

OS backplate screws.

Ok now at least I have the size and a possible replacement. thank you guys

Jaz, instead of using a phillips screwdriver on them get a set that conforms to JIS standards. Thats what most of the metric screws actually are. The JIS version do not cam out of the screw like a standard philips will do.

just type in 2.6 in the search window on amains website. it will show like 400 items, narrow it down with the drop down. you want 2.6x7 or 8. like 20 companys make them.

But if you ever start using a set you will use them on every phillips style screw you can find. Now if I could only find some with a 1/4 " hex head so I could fit them in my electric screwdriver.

Found out about them by accident when i built my first TRex heli. I used the 2 supplied jewelers style screwdrivers when I built it. Everybody that was building them at the time was bitching about the crappy screws but I didn't have a problem. They had used regular phillips screwdrivers. The ones that came in the kit were JIS.
