Traxxas Plug Teminal

I just bought some Traxxas plugs, both male and female I d like to solder to battery and ESC.
I have followed a guide to solder this plugs. However, in the guide, it says the male and female plugs terminals are not interchangeable and can be recognised by an A on the male terminal and B on the female.

I have checked my plugs (I have bought 4 male and 4 female) and all have the exact same terminal. There is no letter on any.

Has anyone else experienced these plugs? Do they seem ok?

All the ones I've seen have the letters on them, hard to see though.

Nothing whatsoever on mine..Just the small hole.

Anyone else? I noticed everyone on this forum either uses TRX or Deans..

Have a look here:

They should definitely have the letters on them. Maybe call Traxxas or take them back.

All the ones I have bought have letters on them. Gotta look real good though. Take em' back.

I bought them in HK.. probably a cheap copy not made by Traxxas.
They were a nightmare to solder. Really struggled to get the solder to stick to the terminal, even with flux.

Yeah if you got 'em in HK then they're almost certainly not real Traxxas connectors - the same goes for HK Deans. Often times the "fake" connectors are not built as well as the real deal, i.e.: cannot handle as much amperage or are not as durable, but many people use them with no problems
