upgrade charger?
 

This is currently the charger I have

The thing is it takes forever to charge anything up. My 800mah cx2 2s lipo takes 83 minutes to charge.

My 5000mah 3s batteries take about the same time.. Sucks when I have to charge two to run my flux.

Anything I can do to get this thing working better or is a new charger the best route to go?

Generally, a battery - regarless of it's capacity - takes about an hour to charge.

You should be charging your CX2 battery at .8amps and the 5000mah battery a 5 amps.

If you're balance charging them, that might be why they're taking longer than an hour to charge. Balance charging can take longer.

Lipo uses that CC/CV charging routine and it takes time. If the EQ has a FAST lipo option, that would reduce your current charge time, prob pretty nitoceably. But if it doens't have the option, its a moot point. I'm not that familar with the charger.

The Triton EQ balancer spec says 5mv, thats half of what seems typical today where many specs just say <10mv. This may be why yours is taking so long. My Hyperion rarely takes more than 55min to finish a lipo charge.

I run a Flux too and the dual batts usually makes charging a plan ahead affair or requires additional sets of lipos. If you were to upgrade the charger and get something with more than the 50watts of charger output power you have on AC now, (63watts DC), you could charge both lipos at once with the lipos wired together either in series or in parallel. You'd need a charger with a minimum of 10amps max rate and 100watts charger output.

You'd need either a serial cable to hook them together and a serial balance harness to do them in series or a parallel cable and parallel balance harness to go with the new charger. If you've been doing everything on AC, you'd prob need a power supply as well. The few higher powered AC/DC chargers are expensive.

I am charging while balancing at the same time. I was looking at getting the hyperion duo and then was thinking about getting an icharger208b. I know they are both good chargers. I have seen people charge multiple batteries at one time on the i charger. Which one would be the better choice. I am also going to be buying a power source.

Knowing where you're coming from, the iCharger 208B would be the better choice imho. The Duo is a nice charger, but its expensive.

You can get the cabling you need and it has plenty of power to do the job. Just make sure you get a 350watt power supply so you're not limiting what the charger can do.

yep that is who I have been looking at!..lol.. Would you happen to know what type of balancing connector is needed for the zippy balancing tabs so I can put that in with the order from there.
