People still use lead acid batteries in starter boxes???? There's a reason they're all called "field box" batteries now. LOLz.

2 amps is plenty. It could probally handle more, but let it charge at low 2a for a day.

But seriously, lipo has alot more power for a starter box.

Never had good luck with lipos. I have to plug like 3 things into my charger to balance it too lmfao.
Which one lasts longer?

Hobby city has chargers for $40 and 4s lpos for $50.

my 4s 5000mah lipo has lasted 5-6 track days without needing a charge. My lead acid battery or nicads needed charging before each race day. And my Ofna Truggy starter box is a beast with that battery. No stalling those motors. If the engine is too cold to turn over, not preheated enough, the box won't stall, the wheel will burn rubber, or the belts will jump and click.

Every battery in RC will be lipo soon. Minus well jump on now.
