Mamba Monster Question
 

Hey guys quick noob question. I got a used monster and I ran it the other day but the fan didn't turn on even though Its temp was about 156 f. I looked online and at castle it says the fan will spin up at start up and then stay off until needed. But my fan doesn't spin up at the start. So I thought I needed a new fan but when I took it apart to replace the fan it worked fine. So I tested the voltage from the connector and that seemed fine too? Which makes me very confused. If you have a castle system is it normal for the fan not to spin at start up? And if its not any ideas on what might be wrong? Thanks

The note thats included with a v3 MMM says the fan doesn't come on until 150F and I thought I'd read it does run briefly when you power up. There are two devices on the board that are responsible for running the fan.

If yours works, but doesn't run while the MMM is on, one of these devices may be bad. You can either hook it up directly and run it all the time or get it repaired. If your MMM is running that ho,you def need to do something to get fan running again.

I heard from the guy in our lhs that it might be because of the newest firmware update? Anyone else heard of this?

I just updated two of my 3 MMMs two nights ago and I don't see any diff, it comes on when you power up and then I don't see mine run again.

If a FW update changed teh fan routine, it would be posted in Castle Forum on RCM and its not, so I really doubt your prob is related to FW.

if his fan does not come on when u turn it on, for a second, he has got to send it in or fix it!
