battery charger question
 

I have a Ten-T with the 7.2v lipo. I went to charge it and the connector was off the charger. The battery has the red and black plus the blue balance lead. The charger only has 2. I assume it goes to the red and black. Anyway, I connected it and after about 30 minutes, the red light went to a yellowish color instead of green. Never seen that. And it was pulsing slightly. I reversed the wires and the light on charger was still red after 5 hours. Is my battery gone? I am not familiar at all with lipos. My radio is saying it is at 6.3v.

Maybe I am confused, but are you talking about the Lipo battery leads? or the 3 wires for the balancer (on the battery)? You would still connect the batter to the charger with the main wires (larger red and black wires), and if you wanted to also balance the cells at the same time, you would connect the balancer plug also. So if you are charging and balancing the cells you would have all the Lipo connectors attached to your charger.
Let me know if this makes sense, or if I am barking up the wrong tree.

The connector on the charger itself. It is the one that came with the truck. Only red and black wires. I think I am just gonna get me a good charger and another battery. I am about to buy my son and daughter some Mini-T's, so I will be doing a lot of charging. Thanks for the reply.

A 2S lipo would be 7.4v, 7.2v is a 6 cell NiMh pac. 6.3v indicates your lipo is not dead, but it should charge to 8.4v when completely charged since a lipo cell charges to 4.2v/cell max. The other thing about lipo you have to worry about is overdischarging them - they can be damaged discharging below 3v/cell or below 6v for a 2S.
