Another Lipo question?
 

So for the last time so I can understand if all things were equal with two batteries but one had say 3000mah and the other was a 5000mah the car will not be faster just run longer? The c number is going to determine the punch or power of the pack?

In most cases that will hold true, but keep in mind that with a "C" rating it relies on the MAH to get a total current capability. If you are not close to the limits of current draw then you will not likely notice any performance difference, but if you are pulling high amps then a 5000mah pack will perform better than a 3000mah of the same "C" rating.

3000 mah 20c = capable of discharging at 60 amps
5000 mah 20c = capable of discharging at 100 amps

If your motor is capable of pulling over 60 amps you will see a performance difference

As you've seen, the discharge capability is a function of both teh C rating and the capacity (mah) of the pac. Pac capacity gets overlooked a lot and you can actually have a lower C rating, high capacity pack with more discharge than a smaller capacity pack with a higher C rating -


3800mah 40C - 152amps
6000mah 30C - 180amps

The 5000 will maintain a higher voltage longer, so it should be a little bit faster than the 3000 after a few minutes of running even if you aren't pulling max amps.

That motor is listed as 130watts, so for 2S lipo, figure something less than 20amps.

The larger capacity pack will weigh more

Unless you consider difference in runtime to be performance..If runtime doesn't matter, pick thelighter weight pack. Where you're sopping should have weights listed as well as the dimensions.
