servo wire ripped
Some how my servo wire got loose and got torn... Im not a very good at sodering... its about 3 or 4 inches from servo .. any tips .. or do i need to learn to soder very well so i dont F up the servo more??
Thanks |
I wouldve cut them a bit short and then solder them back on, but you need to know what youre doing.
Otherwise there should be some radio/computer repairshop thing you can ask. |
You don't have to solder it. Strip the rubber casing off and do the same to the other ends of both wires. Cut them even or you have one side linger than the other. Slip heat shrink tubing over both wires and push it back out of the way. Twist all 4 ends together and bend them back over themselves so that they are secure and won't pull apart. Then slide heat tubing over all exposed copper and shrink. It will hold up just fine. I cut 4 inches off all my servo wired so I don't have that tangled mess in my RX box and it works great with no soldering required

Are you saying the insluation got removed from a part of teh wire or that the wires been cut completely?
If its just insulation, go get some liquid electrical tape and repair it that way. If its been cut and you are concerned about soldering, repair it as Jaz240 describes. I would solder the wires before beding them back over on themselves if you can, but it'll work either way. |
