Large Scale Steering Servos
I'm confused...
There are "standard" size servos that put out close to 500 oz/in at 6V and almost 700 oz/in at 7.4V......and yet... . . . . . . . . . Large Scale servos, with their larger motors, gear trains, cases, and control boards can't muster over 350 or so oz/in at 6V............and aren't even rated for 7.4V. Am I missing something??? I'd LOVE to be able to use a large scale servo, with its larger/beefier case, gear train, output shaft, and output bearing.................that puts out around 500 in/oz at 6V and 700 or so in/oz at 7.4V. Shouldn't be at all hard to do, and I'd think it'd be easier than accomplishing the same performance with the 'standard' size servos (due to the larger motors and such). I realize that these servos would eat more juice................but we're already carrying 3000-6000mAh Rx packs in these beasts. I'm certainly not alone here. Legions of HPI Baja 5B/5T and FG off-roader racers and bashers would buy these servos in a heartbeat...:tire: |
