Actual numbers for lag differences in radios

So, does anyone have any actual numbers for the differences between am/fm radios and 2.4 radios and the lag before a command is followed out? How much does distance play a role?

I know that there is a difference in the feel of the response speed between radios, but I was wondering if there are any numbers available.

This is an assumption, but knowing that 2.4 sends a signal out to the rx that also carries some digital info, to confirm it is correct info before acting upon it, and that is why, at least for a while, many am/fm radios felt faster. Again assuming that this extra step of confirmation was not happening, or maybe not needed, with am/fm systems. Or is there also an extra step with 2.4, transmittal back from the rx to the tx as well, making sure they are bound, and that is part of the reason for lag potential as well?

Can anyone who really knows, shed some light on this?

KO, Airtronics, or Futaba service shop people?

Thanks
:)

I don't have the specs but I can assure you, that the difference is minimal and not noticeable with the newer systems. 75fm is still faster, but like I said, it's not noticeable, especially in certain classes of racing. You probably already know this, but all things being equal except fm or 2.4, you're reflexes will adapt to whatever you're using and as far as lap times are concerned, the overall difference will most likely be in the hundredths of a second if you're a top tier driver. I will get the specs from airtronics sometime this week and post it
