Bind procedure at radio is still the same. 8-channel receiver comes with bind cable (if I remember it). Just insert cable to receiver BIND channel, poweron receiver, poweron radio while pressing bind button and it should bind together.

It is 0.5.0, not 4.5 and there are not fixes, but new functionality You can read about one page back.

so i got my controller modded right
i connected up my turnigy monster beetle to model 1
and my turnigy trailblazer xt as model 2 named them mini and big cos thats how original i am
now there both bound to 6ch rxs
i can have the model on model 1 or 2 and both trucks are bound as in the both move the servos when they are on together this is not normal is it
it shouldnt bind to the rx unless the right model number is chosen for the truck you are using

this 100% normal...models just save settings like trim and end points.

The gt3b doesn't have two way communication so it has no idea what rx its talking to...rx's just remember the tx.

Hello every body !

I mod my gt3b for the first time with the 0.5 FW

I bind my TX and RX ... every thing look ok but ....

servo plugged on Ch2, throttle and brake on my nitro ..

when I put brake, the servo wont stop moving litle bit, like a ton of glitch.

ch2 In the center position, no glitch, rock solid.

ch2, Throttle side, solid

ch1, steering, solid

the servo isn't the problem, I have switch it with ch1 and it's realy ch2 the problem.

any idea ?

I'm happy to see you've added keyframe control to your newest firmware!
I'm now entirely confident my channelwizard + UHF module project will be a success with this radio.

Still waiting on mine.. stupid customs bounced it back for reasons unknown,
its got sent again, through another mail carrier which apparently is less picky.

Getting a little antsy about that GT3C showing up in the middle of me buying a GT3B though.
I hope im not missing out on much..

Hey all, I just switched from Futaba 3PM FASST to a KO EX5UR. The price of these is sure appealing. For what I can get a TX/RX combo, I can get 1 KO receiver. That is a huge savings!

What I'd like to know is what is the frame rate of the GT3B or GT3C? I could tell the difference when switching from Fut to KO. I just need to know if the response time is just as fast, if not quicker than the KO for racing.

Thanks in advance,

John

the servo frame rate is about 50 - 55 hz.

Default new firmware 0.5.1

Hi,
new firmware is out. I added only one thing, possibility to connect potentiometer instead of CH3 button and map this potentiometer to
all functions assignable to trims (channel values, trims, subtrims, ...).

I think I am able to implement channelwizard to GT3B firmware . Something as map this input channel to this output channel.

how are you going to input the extra channels?

Wow, you guys have been doing some awesome work on the Flysky. I have a GT3C on the way and I am wondering what mods would still be appropriate. Is there that much of a change between B and C or is it mostly cosmetic? Thanks for any help you can give me.

There are 3 (4 with SWIM) unused pins at microcontroller. And it is possible to use PD7 to generate TLI unmaskable interrupt (at signal edge), read values of timer to cyclic buffer in this interupt and compute PPM values somewhere at non-interrupt code. And then only use this PPM input value instead of some channel value. So this is theory, I didn't try this yet . And this info is at TODO file also.

And for info about other 2 unused pins. They are connected to RS232 port at stm8 and there are pads at bottom side of PCB below HF module. There is some code in original firmware to initialize RS232 but nothing more. I don't know what FlySky intended with this, but crystal frequency 18.432MHz was selected to get exact timing for RS232.
