I just started playing around with this esc for modified outdoor, and running a 5.0 on a big paved track with boost and turbo is pretty awesome:sneaky:

Seriously though, boost really shouldn't be needed for a mod. The RPM's they turn is a lot higher than a stock motor, and you'd want to be setting the boost level higher than 15,000rpm to avoid overheating the motor too much (more timing = more amps = more heat).
Turbo's different, as it will only kick in after being at full throttle, and can be used for getting back some top end. Basically means can use a smaller pinion on the in-field (more grunt out the turns), and compensate the top-end with turbo.. simples. advertise, rpm 56880, 7900kv... on motor checker (manufacturer timing), rpm 67696, 8059kv |

people can you all please stop qouting messages with a lot of pics in it or video's? It makes a mess. You can also quote the message and remove the video attachement. It is still clear what you are referring too, specially if someone already qouted the message in front of you!
About the video, why are you so dramatic about it? Clearly he is not smart if he uses a mod motor with full boost and turbo. So he blows up an esc, so what. Doesn't mean you have to do the same. Reminds me about someone on my hometrack who used a tekin with full timing, turbo and full mechanical timing on the motor and some made fuss about it that the motor blew up and they blamed the dynamic esc for it on a dutch forum. .:confused: |
Exactly, same with the idiots that charge lipos at excessive amps and then post it on youtube making the world think there dangerous and can malfunction at any moment.
