novak

I am trying to get a GTB 4 cell version to work in the brushless mode .I have a lipo 1s 5000 pack and a novak 10.5 motor connected to it.It works fine with a brushed motor setup hooked to it.
With a brushless setup up it just barley moves the motor at wot. And the esc and the motor start heating up. I am following the guide on how to change back in forth from, brushed mode' to brushless mode'..

Am I missin something or has something fried the brushless side of things?

regards

First reset TX with the one touch setup. If that GTB has the voltage cutoff turn it off. Setting the profile is a little tricky. You have about a half second to hit the button to change it. Unlike other funtions with no time limit. I think thr one touch should defalt to profile 1

I just can't get it to work.
One proplem is it is spread spectrum, and the radio I am using is on 75.
I just want to see it work so I can sell it.
Should it work with the radio I am using?
When switched on the motor just runs slow and makes a chattering noise.
And it starts to get hot as well as the speedo itself.
In the brushed mode everything seems to be fine using a brushed motor..

Ah you just found your problem. I've been and done that. The spread spectrum GTB will not work right on any 27mhz or 75mhz radio. I went thur tring different radios and no luck. I sucked it up and bought a 2.4mhz and wow. It works great. Borrow a friends 2.4 to test. Somwwhere on Novak site it does say not to use with non 2.4 TX's
