DX3S lipo Question

i was thinking about putting a lipo in my DX3S but i dont know if the radio can handel the full voltage or not. does anyone know?

Why bother???
These systems use so little power that AA's last very long. I would rather buy 4 AA batts every 2-4 weeks then worry about spending $$$ on a lipo.
