weird "issue" with 3pk setup

I have an odd problem with my setup, actually several of my cars, and I'm not sure what else to check. Its minor so it doesn't cause any serious issues with driving but its weird so its eating at me. Last night I was testing a new esc along with setting up a new steering servo. I turned the steering all the way left and few seconds later the esc started to turn the motor slowly and it slowly increased in speed....turn back the right and it was like I hit the brakes.....I sat there kind of dumb-founded and wondering if maybe the wife put something in my beer trying to kill me off and I was hallucinating or something....

So I thought it was the new esc, tried another car real quick....same result.....tried my stock slash.....same result.....:confused:

I swapped models on the radio thinking maybe I just flipped something somewhere when I was going thru the menus, same result.

This all happens after a few seconds of just holding the steering all the way left. It doesn't cause any issues when racing as I wouldn't ever really have a situation where I'd have to hold it full turn like that for more than a second or two so thats why I say its a minor problem if even a problem. Its just ticking me off that I don't know why its happening.

ideas....thoughts?

well after some more "testing" tonight I found the issue....it was the transmitter itself. Last week it got knocked off my pit table and hit the dirt. Apparently that was enough to mess it up. I was running a car tonight trying to find out what it was and finally decided it had to be the radio....tapped the transmitter with my hand and the car took off. Prior to this the car had almost no brakes and after letting off the throttle it would keep rolling...along with going when I turned left. Anyway, after the "tap" I reset the esc and presto, everything works right again. So there ya go, mystery solved. Thought I would post in case someone else comes across the issue. I'm going to go try and get rid of my headache now....

Glad to hear you figured it out. But to be safe, you may want to pop open the radio and make sure nothing has come loose inside or damaged.

^^^ I'd be worried that something like a wiring harness connector was coming loose.

yeah I'm going to crack it open and see if I can find anything....hopefully I won't make it worse....

checked everything I could inside and didn't see any issues.....thing has enough freakin' wires in it though....good God!! Anyway, I've got a race tomorrow night so we'll see how it goes.

Let us know how it goes.

ran it for a few hours last night with no issues so maybe it was just a fluke. Atleast thats what I'm hoping....
