Comm Drop question
Race Prep Comm Drops:
Does anybody else have this product anymore (new company etc)? If not, does anybody know what the drops were made of? |
Come on....somebody knows this info...
|
I still have a 6 yr old bottle...
I never liked using these drops as you should really rinse the motor after each run - they attract a lot of dirt. The only time I used them is if I didn't have time to rebuild a motor on race day and I needed one last run out of it - they're good for reducing arcing on badly maintained motors. I've never seen the magic 'extra' rpms they claim to produce. I see from another forum that someone is recommending them as a speed secret for titan 550 motors so there will probably be a renewed interest. I can see where they'd help get a couple more runs out of a half-dead non-rebuildable. Google turned up this link where they're still available: http://www.axiommotors.com/Racing-Ac...ops-p-107.html |
I still have a bunch of bottles that i used when i was racing my slash. I switched to brushless now with makes the drops a moot point. but it helped the titan get along a little. at least for the begiing few seconds of the race.
I think trinity still makes thier "black death" comm drops I stil lhave some "zubaks speed juice comm drops" as well as another one. |
We have been using them on slash 12t motors. The more you use it, the better they run. Other com drops I have tryed (zubak, trinity etc), have really chewed up the brushes making them last no more than a couple runs.
If axiom is still selling this, Ill look into it. I really would like to know what it is made of, so I might be able to reproduce it. Im even thinking of going old school and adding antifreeze to these motors to see what happens. Thanks for the help. |
