Correct lipo settings
I need some help please. I have a Ice charger and just bought my first lipo pack for my ofna starter box. I really don't know too much about lipos so If you guys can tell me what settings to set the charger at would be great I thought I would ask the guys who know instead of causing a fire the lipo is a 14.8 20c 2200 mah 4s

OK, here's the setup you need -on 1st line, 1st position, select lipo, move over to 2nd position select 14.8v, move to 3rd position on 1st line and select 2200mah. This sets the charger to a 4s lipo with 2200mah and will charge the lipo at a rate of 2.2amps.
The 'dchg volt' should be set to 3volts. This tells charger not to try charging if the voltage is below 3v/cell or in this case - 3 x 4 = 12v. The only other setting is the last line where it is the 'max chg capa' - make sure thats set to 100%. This will give you a full charge. Ice uses the CC/Cv lipo charge routine - constant current is 1st part - lipo charges to max cell voltage of 4.2v/cell at constant current (CC). Then you'll see the voltage held constant at the max and the current will decrease as the lipo tops off. This is the constant voltage (CV) part of the charge and you'll see amps dropping to zero or near zero. |

On 1st line, 1st position, select lipo, move over to 2nd position select 14.8v, move to 3rd position on 1st line and select 1500mah. This sets the charger to a 4s lipo with 1500mah and will charge the lipo at a rate of 1.5amps.
Ice can store these "battery charge profiles" and you can just recell them instead of entering everything every time. Its in the manual. |

Sorry, my bad - yes it does matter - def select 2100mah - that will set the charge rate to 2.1amps like it should be.
