Can servos draw to much power, I got problems!
 

I was hoping to get some help. I put 2 7955's in my 2.0 buggy, and now it has a mind of its own at times.....almost like its losing signal for a split second. Is it possible they are sucking my voltage down below my rx voltage minimum? Running a nimh pack in good shape. I had a 5985, and 5955 in it with no problems like this, now with these 7955 im losing signal at times!

it is highly possible that the nimh pack has high voltage drop with two high power servos. just use a voltmeter to check it.

I find it highly unlikely that you are having battery problems with these servo's as opposed to the others. These servo's may draw more power but not enough to see a considerable difference. Did you double check the polarities on the reciever. (I.E all the red wires are on the same side of the terminals.)

I've seen these symptoms before... most of the time is faulty or discharged battery (both receiver and transmitter), but on some cases the transmitter's antenna can get loose (this is on 2.4 systems). My suggestion is, try them out on another receiver and/or battery to make sure it's the servos and not something else... glitches are rarely a servo problem.

Thanks for the help so far. All i did was switch radio tray to a different chassis, and put 2 used 7955 in there. It went from working fine to this. It looks like with a voltage meter, things are staying well above the minimum. what else could it be? everything works fine on the bench....

Try jiggling the wires around while you operate the servos to make sure one isnt loose on either end.

used 7955's? who used them? one may be bad. trying hooking them up seperately.

You didnt have problems until you put in 2 used 7955s? Sounds like the servos are the problem. How used are they ?

I run 2 7955's on the FHSS-2 system(a.k.a M11:D) and have had no problems. If you are running crystals you may be experiencing interference. Could be caused by the way you ran the wires through the radio tray to a bad engine bearing. If the problem began after installing both servos try installing your old servos and check to see if they operate correctly. Then try one 7955 and one of your old servos to see if that works correctly. If that checks out try the other 7955 and one of your old servos. This process should show what the problem is.
