Reciever binding question's
This is probally a dumb question and asked before, but why can't you bind with other reciever manufactures? I have a Nomadio that I can bind with a Spektrum SR3500 reciever. Why can't i bind with a Futaba reciever? or a Spektrum radio bind with a Futaba reciever? or vise versa.

All these companies use a different enough way to encode/decode between the tx and rcvrs that they will not work with each other. The tech between each company is different - its patented by each, so why would say Futaba pay Spectrum a license fee to use their tech when they can develop (and did) their own??

that makes sense, thank you. But why can I bind to a SR3500 with my Nomadio?
|
Same reason some Losi's will bind with some Spectrums - they are made by the same company under license for the other and are re-badged.
Futaba has started making sure that their re-badged stuff will not work with their higher cost radios, I guess to eliminate a cheap option. I might not have it exactly right in Nomadio's case but thats usually why - either licensed the tech to use or using re-badged product. Totally unfamilar with Nomadio. |
I have an old Nomadio rx and wanted to know if it can bind to a Spektrum rx DSM? I know in the first post of this thread the poster was able to bind the Tx to a Spektrum rx, but does it work the other way? Thanks.
