Wire?
 

Where does everyone buy their wire for connecting ESC's and motors or batteries to ESC's? I got some from Home Depot that works, but it is so much stiffer than 'normal' RC wire. Thanks.

Well there is lots of options i know of people who go to audio shop and get wire there but comonly people use the deans noodle wire as its very flexible i havent personally done this as i dont do much electric stuff but i recently ordered this http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=4141 supposed to be really good

Use proper RC wire. It's made for that specific puropose. It's flexible because it's made from hundreds of individual strands, which helps with resistance and current flow.
Speaker grade wire is just ghetto mate, for a few extra $$ protect your gear!
For most applications 14ga is fine, but for more power and many brushless applications, 12ga is better.

What AWG is a good general size for most 1/10 scale applications?

i've bought and used 12 AWG turningy wire from hobby king. gets the job done and is flexible.

You can use jsut about any brand wire made for RC applications, companies like Tekin, Deans, Corally, KO Propo, Castle, etc all make it. Even the cheap brans are fine for most applications.
The key is they are all silicone wire (which makes it very flexible), and have a very high strand count, e.g. the Deans Wet Noodle I use has about 1600 individual strands!
For guage, generally 12awg is used in 1/10 brushless electric applications. You can use 14awg for 1S Lipo applications if you want (space or weight saving).
