Lipo for receiver pack
I was considering running a lipo for my receiver pack in my D8. I've heard the Hitec 7955's can handle the voltage unregulated. Question is...Can my receiver? It's an Airtronics M8 FM radio system. Thanks for any input.

According to Airtronics no. 4.8-6.0 operating only. But.... You dont need a regulator. Just put 2 diodes in series with the power connector going into the receiver. It will lower your voltage for the receiver, then take all the positive wires for your servoes and hook them directly to the lipo. As long as all your electronics use the same ground everything will operate normally. (only your servoes will be faster, and draw more current). Shawn. |
