Thunderbird AC6
I just got one of these and when I attempt to charge my battery it says the "Connection break" Has anyone had issues with this? thanks
|
These chargers are great, but sometimes the generic "T" style plug used on them is not so great. If you are certain all of your settings are correct and that your battery is not at fault then it may be a good time to switch to real Deans plugs.

My GTPower A-6-10 charger did the same thing - I changed the charge lead and it charges fine. And what was even stranger, now it works fine using the charge lead that it came with that I thought was defective.
The psuedo deans that is on mine is encapsulated in plastic I guess to give you more to grip and changing the deans was not something I considered - I just made a complete new one. My dvm could never find anything wrong with it either. There may be something else going on, but if its like mine, once you've got it to work and charge a few batts, recheck the lead, it may work then. I don't have an explanation. |
Now i see what you are saying... now my question is I have a battery that has a plug for the traxxus connection and I dont have a plug like that with the AC6??? DO i have to get my own or does one the others just work?? My original problem was I only had the balancer hooked up....hahahahah i wasnt even dropped as a kid....

Glad to hear you found the problem. You should be able to buy a Traxxas to Deans adapter from any major hobby supply or most local hobby shops, or make one if you can solder. If you are careful you can even just use the small alligator clip leads that came with the set and clip them to the Traxxas connector. This can be dangerous as it would be very easy for the terminals to short or be reversed.
