futaba 3pk help
 

hey im looking at buying a futaba 3pk. has much changed in them? im looking to buy a used one. theres a silver one and bronze one and a black one. if they are two years old will it still have all the good features and will i be able to buy a mod and receiver for it down the road and make it 2.4ghz? thanks for the help

I bought a used 3PK almost 5yrs ago and recently added a 2.4 setup to its capabilities. I see no reason that a 2.4 mod and rcvrs wouldn't be avail in a few yrs. Even if there's some revolution in radios and they go off in another direction (seems unlikely atm) there would still be used mods and rcvrs available. My 2.4 setup was bought used and works perfectly.

my 3pk is awesome. I also bought it used and it is well worth the money

I bought my 3PK second hand 2 years ago, it was old as heck then, never had a problem. I think the newer 3PKS has a few tweaks, but still the same basic controller.
With the amount of them around, there will be no problem getting modules and donor transmitters if necessary for years to come!

yes you can... mine uses spektrum DSM from FM. so far so good no glitches or anything.

Do you guys know if the lipo batteries out for the 4pk will fit in the 3pk, I can't seem to find any for the 3pk most places i have checked either don't have them or are out of stock but they do have them for the 4pk.

No, the voltage is not the same - 4PK is 6v (4AA cells) and 3PK is 12v (8 AA cells).
