Thats a great price since you are getting a second receiver.

Other than that and price, the m11x seems to be above every other radio in the market IMO. Is it worth the coin? In my opinion, no.
I was buying the FHSS-2 receiver that came with my MX-3FG, but ever since the MX-Sport 2.4GHz came out, I've been buying the Sport's FHSS-2 receivers... 3-Channel is plenty for me. My only gripe is, the Sport's FHSS-2 receivers does not come with the rubber plugs to plug up any of the channels/ports you're not using. Nothing a little bit of decals can't seal...

If you take off the 2,4G module and receiver and you get a Mhz receiver you can use the radio as Mhz radio?? Thats for both radios question..

The M11X has an inbuilt module, so no, it is 2.4ghz only.

I also have a question...

The 4th channel.
Is it fully programmable/usable?
I Emailed Airtronics.net and the reply said they are but after reading the manual it doesn't look it.
Looks like it is for brake mixing only really, although from what I could understand you can set a certain button to a channel, so could the 4th channel still be used to control a servo or lights or even a kill switch?

I just bought the MX 3X and was thinking that if I ever needed/wanted a 4th channel I could get the M11X and keep the MX 3X as a backup/spare transmitter.

I didn't really want to invest in the Futaba range mainly due to being a bit more expensive and what seems like poor after sales service.
I seriously considered KO Propo but for some reason didn't (the Sanwa having more output power helped, sick and tired of range issues).
Spektrum I decided against because although I had heard many great things about them but also quite a few not so great things.

I am leaning towards getting an M11 or M11X, I have the MX Sport radio right now. Can I use the FHSS-2 receivers from my MX Sport with the M11 or M11x? I can't seem to find a solid answer on this one.

Yes, FHSS3 is backwards compatible with FHHS 2.
